A place of worship declared a historical monument is the Church "St. Archangels Michael and Gabriel" from Breb. Built in 1622, it is considered "the wooden church with the oldest tower in Romania". Crossing its threshold, inside you can see remains of the painting made in the 17th century, along with a valuable collection of icons on wood, while in the churchyard you can find old wooden Celtic crosses.
Less than an hour away was an emblematic place for Maramureș County and unique in the world, the Merry Cemetery from Săpânta.
