🍲 Thesaurus meetings at Stâna Ștefanu - Traditional gastronomy workshops 🏞️

Between September 29 and October 1, 2024, the National Institute of Heritage organizes a treasure meeting about the secrets of traditional Cioban gastronomy at Stâna Ștefanu, on the Transalpina.

🌿 The event brings together carriers and transmitters of traditional culinary knowledge, in an effort to preserve and promote Romanian intangible cultural heritage. The special guest is Maria Băbu, "Living Human Treasure", known for her mastery in preparing authentic shepherd dishes, such as balmoş, bulz, mutton stew and many others.

🍽️ Along with the Mărioara brewery from Stâna Ștefanu, participants will have the opportunity to learn old cooking techniques and learn stories about the culinary traditions of Oltenia and Transylvania.

🔖 The event is part of the "Revival of traditional crafts and promotion of artistic creativity" Program, an initiative dedicated to the valorization of living elements of intangible heritage.
