The ingredients that give taste to Banat: authentic food and local heritage
In Romania - as your heart knows it, but has never met it before! That's where I invite you to step, in the first respite that the hectic everyday life gives you. You don't have to go far to exclaim "how beautiful!". You don't have to do complicated things to fill your soul with joy!

The whole country, from one end to the other, lies at your feet with secret places and corners hidden from the eyes of the highway. With wonderful people and unheard stories. In Attractive Romania, every step tells a story.

I invite you to come to me in Banat to find out the stories of the people, because their stories have colors and a unique taste. From the flowers in the "ponevi", to the extensive plum orchards, they all conquer you at the first meeting. You can start with a Breakfast at Margina. The "fluștuc" that the locals serve with family or friends, at any time of the year at the beginning of the day, entices you with chiscantus sausages, boiled eggs, sheep's cheese and many seasonal vegetables. And after you have filled your stomach, at the end, a ride with the cart pulled by uncle Stefan's horses will fill, in turn, your soul. 300-year-old wooden churches, lavender fields and lilies will lay you on your way. Call Damaris Sivu, the local tour guide (tel. 0723 124 952) and she will guide you wherever you want to go in the area.

You can also stop at aunt Emilia Popa (local gastronomic point, tel. 0763 067980) in the household in Coșteiu de Sus, where the food takes on Slovak flavors. The traditions and customs of her childhood sneak subtly into the plates, and she opens the doors of her house to anyone who wants to share these flavors with her.

Or you can stop at Aunt Marioara, at the Stână la Fântână Local Gastronomic Point in Margina (tel. 0733 071984 ). Because there is no Sibiu custom of preparing cheese that is not present in the pantries where she transforms the milk from the sheepfold into perfect pieces of curd. She brought with her, on the pastures of Timiș, the family story, but also the good taste of other places. Let's taste them!

And don't worry about eating too much! You can get on a bike rented for free from the Margina Tourist Center (www.turism-margina.ro, tel. 0256 326000) or, with just a backpack on your back, you can take the Făget forests on foot for a whole day or as long as your boots last. Every journey will be rewarded here with unforgettable experiences...

Such as in Sintești, where the teacher Ciprian Mert (tel. 0721 321 529) will teach you the secrets of a craft that literally bears the footsteps of the Călușars in the area and beyond, and a visit to the Village Museum will reveal the rest of the stories. Then, to understand their meaning, take a break for a walk nearby, on the hills with lavender, sage and immortelle in Zorani. George Sloboda and his family will accompany you among the rows of flowers and, if necessary, will offer you oils and essences to take home with you, to be well and to come back to us.

As I already said: you don't have to go far to exclaim "how beautiful!". You don't have to do complicated things to fill your soul with joy. The whole country is coming at your feet.
