Over the course of two days, September 6 and 7, 2024, in Tulcea, in the context of the Ivan Patzaichin Festival (made by the Ivan Patzaichin Association – Mila 23, the initiator of the PGL concept), a large event dedicated to the consolidation of Local Gastronomic Points (PGL) from Romania:
🔴 Sept. 6 2024, 11:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. National Conference of Local Gastronomic Points in Romania (2nd edition), at the Fishing Village (Cherhana)
🟡 Sept. 7 2024, 10:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. Ivan Patzaichin Fair of Local Gastronomic Points, with sale, on Ivan Patzaichin Embankment in Tulcea. More than 15 PGLs will bring closer to the people of Tulceni and the visitors of the fair - traditional cuisine with natural products and healthy ingredients, prepared according to traditional or family recipes.
The second edition of the national conference of PGL, organized under the high patronage of CNR UNESCO, puts on the public agenda the importance of the culinary act as a formative of culture, preserver of tradition, adaptable and anchored in contemporaneity, intercultural binder and generator of well-being.

The participants in the conference will be the important stakeholders of the field, respectively: representatives of local and central authorities, with attributions in the activity and/or establishment of PGL; Existing PGLs and those wishing to establish new PGLs; gastronomy experts (including traditional and rural gastronomy), opinion leaders, tour operators, researchers and practitioners in social history, local development, tourism, community building and networking, media representatives and online influencers.

The two events are organized by AIPM 23 and the Local Gastro Association, and take place under the auspices of the Ivan Patzaichin festival, organized by AIPM 23, together with CJ Tulcea and Tulcea City Hall, with the support of the Department for Sustainable Development, of the Destination Management Organization at the level Tulcea municipality and Astra Sibiu National Museum Complex.
The large event also benefits from the support of Kaufland Romania, and hydration is provided by Aqua Carpatica.
