19 June - 01 July 2024, 11:00 - 12:00
About
Hunedoara City Hall/Castel Corvinilor Museum and the Museum of the Customs Service of the Republic of Moldova organize, in partnership with the Ialoveni District Council (Republic of Moldova), the opening of the exhibition "Collection of coins issued by Sovereign Moldova".
The exhibition includes coins issued by the National Bank of Moldova, which are part of the collections of the Museum of the Customs Service of the Republic of Moldova and the collection of Colonel Petru Costin from the Republic of Moldova.
The National Bank of Moldova issued commemorative and jubilee coins that complete the series "Personalities", "Holidays, culture, traditions of Moldova", "Sports", "Monuments of Moldova", "Alley of classics from the public garden "Ştefan cel Mare si Sfânt" in the village Chisinau", "Historical Events", "Holy Places", "Manorial Mansions", "Famous Women", "Science and Innovation", "Childhood Stories" and the "Other" series. They reveal prominent figures of culture and science, historical events, promote national heritage and traditions or reflect religious architecture. Also a successful series is the "Red Book of the Republic of Moldova", which includes a number of pieces dedicated to the flora and fauna of Moldova". The National Bank of Moldova also put into circulation, as a means of payment and for numismatic purposes, a set of commemorative coins dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the proclamation of the independence of the Republic of Moldova. They complete the "Historical Events" series and are accompanied by the certificate of authenticity containing a QR code in which information about the mentioned coins is stored.
The coins from the Corvinilor Castle Museum are part of all the series mentioned above and were exhibited for the first time outside the country, at the Oradea Crișurilor Museum.
The exhibition will be opened on June 19, at 11 a.m., by Dr. Sorin Tincu, director of the Corvinilor Castle Museum and col. Petru Costin.
We invite the public to visit this special and interesting exhibition, which will be open until July 1st.
You're welcome!
