The border sector of the Roman Empire has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
We start the week with excellent news:
🏞️⚔️ The Limes of the Roman province of Dacia, which you can discover in Attractive Romania by following the Roman Camps Route, has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

This is the longest land border sector of the Roman Empire on the territory of continental Europe: a road of 1500 kilometers, from Ulpia Traiana Sarmizegetusa to the ruins of the Roman-Byzantine Fortress Sucidava, which presents us with the most complex defense systems in the ancient world.

The almost 300 important Roman vestiges, visitable or still buried, reveal a fascinating chapter of military strategy, but they speak especially about the engineering and organization that shaped the province.
