Glasul Buciumului Folklore Festival – 4th edition
The Vrancea County Council, through the Vrancea Cultural Center, in partnership with the Spulber City Hall, invites you on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at 12:00, to an authentic event, in the Spulber commune - Vrancea.
What does the Glasul Buciumului Festival mean:
👉 we highlight the folk traditions of Vrancea and the sound of the bucium, an ancient instrument, used as a signal of celebration and communication, especially appreciated by shepherds from Transylvania, Moldova and Wallachia. The residents of the Spulber commune preserve and promote the bucium as an instrument, and the young people aim to learn the craft of making it and to carry forward the art of interpreting instrumental signals.
👉 At the opening of this year's edition, the Ensemble of Bucium Players of the commune will mark the start of the local celebration, as always.

- the presence of local officials and the public from the area, but also tourists attracted by the charm of the mountain festival;
- young talents from different localities of Vrancea County: Spulberașii Ensemble (Spulber), Regina Maria Gymnasium School from Vintileasca, Cimpoierii Group from Nistorești, Păltineanca Ensemble from Paltin, Chipărușul Ensemble from Nereju and folk music soloist Ștefania Chirilă (expert at the Popular Art School), all these moments will be brought to the festival stage by the Vrancea Cultural Center, a tireless promoter of folk tradition.
- special guests from the Spulber City Hall, the Local Council and the Spulber Community.
