THE NATIONAL FOLKLORE FESTIVAL "UP, UP, UP, THE MOUNTAIN" returns with a new edition, the XXXVII edition, on October 4, 2024 at 6:00 p.m., at the SALA DE ππππππππππ,,πππππ" from ππΜπππππ.
Β 18 contestants from 10 counties of the country will compete for the Grand Prize of the national interpretation contest "Up, up, up, to the mountains, to the mountains", Campeni 2024.
Β The competition will be judged by prominent personalities of Romania, who, through the sustained activity of the last decades, have contributed and contribute substantially to the promotion, valorization and preservation of intangible cultural heritage elements:
πππππ πππ ππππππ, ethnologist researcher at the National Museum of the Village "Dimitrie Gusti", an institution under the High Patronage of Her Majesty Margareta, Custodian of the Romanian Crown.
ππππππ πππππππ, doctor of music, member of the Union of Composers and Musicologists from Romania, ethnomusicologist, representative of the Electrecord Record Company.
ππππππππ ππππ - violinist, conductor, folklore collector, conductor of the peasant choir from Bistra commune - the oldest peasant choir in Alba county and conductor of the Folk Ensemble within the "Augustin Bena" Culture Center between 2007-2008.
The evening will be completed by a Extraordinary Folklore Show supported by:
