About

The One World Romania International Documentary Film and Human Rights Festival returns to Oradea again this year, with films from the selection of the 17th edition, under the theme CHOOSE!

📅 18 – 20 October 2024
📍 Oradea Citadel (Corps F)
🎟 Access to screenings is free.

This year, One World Romania reflects on its role in a world where crises and tragedies follow one another endlessly, a world where balance is more of an individual stake or the isolated and fragile goal of a group struggle.

In this context, we choose to create a space in which to talk about what is silent. We choose solidarity over comfort, we choose to listen rather than impose beliefs. Through the films of this edition, we want to look beyond ourselves, to sit face to face with the other and, finally, to look at ourselves more lucidly.

💬 The screenings are followed by discussions moderated by Răzvan Marchiș, director and cultural producer.
There are also established festival themes or topics that have preoccupied us in recent years, such as work in the context of artificial intelligence, adolescent dilemmas or the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Among the documentaries in the selection are some of the public successes of this year's edition in Bucharest, presented in a unique screening in Oradea.
